Local Company that Began from a Suitcase

Our humble beginnings started in 1999 when the founder, Sebastian Yeung, began the company from her suitcase. It was the lack of proper sex education and selection of quality sex toys that prompted her to offer in-home sex toy parties.

As word grew of her business, she expanded the company and grew a team of Joy Toyz consultants.

After 8 years of working in the field it was time for a change. Then I came along in June of 2008 to continue the Joy Toyz mission.

Prior to Joy Toyz, I was an independant sales rep for another Romance home party company for 4 years. As much as I had enjoyed the experience (with the other company), I longed for my own business offering a wider selection of silicone products, sex educational workshops and a place within the community.

It's amazing how time flies! Today I'm happy to say that we've come a long way baby.

One thing we will never change is being very selective of the products we offer to our customers. As a woman, I am very cautious about what enters my body - it's only natural that I offer the same kind of care towards my clientel.

Meet the Team

I want to thank my fabulous team of workshop instructors and party reps. Without them, Joy Toyz would not exist for this long.

Velma Candyass is our sassy and bootylicious striptease instructor. She is also an activist in "Saving the Main" on St. Laurent Blvd. to preserve Montreal's red light district and a heritage building. She teaches striptease and burlesque class, and has travelled to Boston, New York and Quebec City to teach her art. Velma is also the organizer of a burlesque troupe the Dead Doll Dancers.

Natasha C. has been with Joy Toyz since 2004. Coming from a very open minded informative upbringing, She combined her joys of teaching and talking about sex.

She is also our sex-pert advisor and facilitates several workshops; "Art of Pleasuring You Man/Woman" and "Intro to Anal Sex and Health"
